Caravan Park Receptionist – Kimberleyland Waterfront Holiday Park

Full-Time | ANZSCO 542113 – Hotel or Motel Receptionist
Come and work in one of Australia’s most spectacular regions! Kimberleyland Waterfront Holiday Park is looking for an experienced, friendly, and detail-oriented Hotel Receptionist to join our vibrant front office team. This is a full-time position based in Kununurra, the gateway to the East Kimberley.

Kimberleyland is a premium caravan and holiday park situated on the shores of Lake Kununurra. We are known for our top-tier guest service, scenic location, and friendly team culture. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth daily operations and memorable guest experiences.
About the Role
As a Hotel Receptionist, you’ll be responsible for delivering front desk services and administrative support that align with the duties outlined under ANZSCO 542113, including:
Key Responsibilities
Greet guests on arrival and perform check-in and check-out procedures
Take reservations via phone, email, and online platforms and update booking systems accordingly
Provide guests with information on accommodation features, local services, and attractions
Accept and process payments, issue receipts, and manage daily cash balancing
Answer guest queries and handle complaints professionally and empathetically
Promote and explain park facilities and services, including upselling where appropriate
Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming front desk area
Liaise with housekeeping and maintenance teams to coordinate room and site availability
Maintain accurate guest records and perform general administrative duties
Requirements
To be eligible for this role, applicants must have:
A diploma in hospitality or equivalent industry experience
Australian citizenship or a permanent residency visa (no temporary visas)
Previous experience in a customer-facing hospitality or accommodation setting
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Competence with reservation software (NewBook experience highly regarded)
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays

About Us
Located on the banks of Lake Kununurra, Kimberleyland is one of Northern Australia’s leading holiday parks. Our on-site café caters to both guests and locals, offering great coffee, food, and friendly service in a relaxed, scenic setting.
About the Role
We’re seeking a skilled Barista to prepare and serve espresso coffee and beverages, manage café service, and help maintain our high standards of quality and hospitality. This full-time position offers a salary of $76,515 per annum plus superannuation.
Key Responsibilities (aligned with ANZSCO 431112):
Prepare and serve espresso coffee and other beverages to a consistently high standard
Greet customers, take orders, and provide friendly, efficient service
Operate coffee machines and grinders, and maintain all equipment in clean working condition
Assist in the preparation and presentation of light meals and snacks
Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in line with WA regulations
Process payments and handle POS transactions accurately
Monitor café supplies and restock as needed
Ensure cleanliness of service areas and uphold a welcoming café atmosphere
Work as part of a small, supportive team
Skills & Qualifications Required
Applicants must meet the skill level required for ANZSCO 431112, including:
Completion of AQF Certificate II or III in Hospitality (with Barista training), or
At least one year of relevant full-time experience as a barista (in lieu of formal qualification)
Australian citizenship or permanent residency (required – no temporary visas)
Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and handle high-volume service periods
Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays
