Kelly's Knob Lookout (Thegoowiyeng)

Kelly's Knob is an easily accessible lookout in the township of Kununurra.
We recommend parking your car at the top carpark and walking all the way to the top from there.

Once you've parked, walk up and past the gated road (you are permitted access) and follow that until you get to a fully secure fence (you are not permitted access here). This is where you turn right and follow the path all the way up. If you're fit it'll take about 10 minutes, if you're taking it easy, allow 20 minutes. You'll be well rewarded with a 360 degree view of Kununurra including Mirima National Park, Sleeping Buddah, Lake Kununurra, the township, the Ord Valley and Lilly Creek Lagoon.
Kelly's Knob was named after the Catholic Priest Father Kelly however it's real name is Thegoowiyeng.
